2005 Joined Arup
When I started as a graduate in 2005, I was part of a team of two people. Since then, I've been involved in growing the team in London and expanding it so that we now have a national presence. This is something I'm really proud of.
I have always felt able to confide in my colleagues, and I have been very lucky to have had support, guidance and friendship to allow me to grow and develop in my career. This has included practical support and constructive criticism in projects, friendship during personal struggles, and guidance as I move through the different stages of my career.
“Working at Arup means belonging to a network of trusted friends and colleagues who share the same values and are looking to make positive change. ”
Arup has given me the opportunity to learn from and work with the best people, both internally and externally (clients and collaborators), which has really driven my development.
One of the best things about Arup is the collaboration across disciplines and the wonderful projects that we work on as an organisation. For me, this has included opportunities to develop a wide-ranging portfolio of projects with colleagues from across the globe, including public transport guidance in the United Arab Emirates, an airport in Canada, art pavilions in Hong Kong and workspaces in India. The breadth of projects means that my skills are constantly challenged and developed.
