Acorn is a technology solution developed inhouse by Arup for the transportation industry. It combines controls, logistics, and asset management systems with a state-of-the-art system architecture that helps operators achieve the highest standards of operational efficiency, while cutting the cost of procurement, design, installation, and maintenance.

Urban Micro-mobility

Arup partnered with a micro-mobility startup dedicated to building the largest network of charging stations for e-scooters. We developed the initial prototype design for a brand-agnostic charging doc, supporting the startup with their roll-out and in securing their next funding round.

Developed inhouse by Arup, Artus is a hybrid air conditioning unit designed to save energy, money and space that has now been spun-out into a standalone company revolutionizing the HVAC industry.

Recently spun-out of Arup, Vertical Meadow has a range of innovative living wall system for permanent facades and temporary applications such as construction site scaffolding and hoardings. Plants are grown from seed in-situ, creating biodiverse wildflower meadows that benefit the community and help developers and contractors meet their CSR goals.
