Nine engineers named in Top 50 Women in Engineering list

Nine Arup engineers have been named in The Telegraph’s annual Top 50 Women in Engineering (WE50) list – more than any other firm.

Selected by a panel of judges, those selected are considered amongst the UK’s most influential female engineers. 

Arup honourees this year are:

  • Catherine Wenger, Civil Engineer

  • Danielle McGrellis, Advanced Technology Engineer 

  • Georgina Lockwood, Civil Engineer 

  • Isobel Byrne Hill, Civil Engineer 

  • Lisa Matthews, Software Engineer 

  • Rachael De'Ath, Structural Engineer 

  • Sarah Tattersall, Structural Engineer 

  • Savina Carluccio, Civil Engineer 

  • Tammy Whelan, Civil Engineer

The list is produced by the Women’s Engineering Society (WES) in collaboration with The Telegraph to celebrate International Women in Engineering Day on 23rd of June. The list aims to inspire the next generation of women into engineering. Currently, less than 11 per cent of engineering professionals in the UK are women. This year’s list focuses on returners and transfers; those who have succeeded in the industry after taking a break or making a career switch.
