From the beginning of my career, I have been occupied with solving the complex problems associated with decarbonising the energy that we use. As a Chartered Engineer and an economist, I am particularly interested in the grey area where the technical, economic, policy and financial elements interact.

My primary responsibility is to help clients to navigate the risks and challenges that they face in charting a path to clean energy use. I do this for utilities, private companies, investors, multilateral development banks, regulators and public-sector agencies on a wide range of assignments. In the process, I’ve gained experience with renewables, biomass, hydrogen, synthetic fuels, natural gas, hydropower, waste-to-energy, district heating & cooling, sustainable heat and smart grids.

Having worked out of Africa, Asia and the UK, I love to work with people from different parts of the planet. Helping people and organisations to get access to sustainable, safe and affordable energy is what makes my job worth doing.
